Despatch Manager

£27k per annum

Flint

Our client is looking for an experienced Despatch Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of all of the despatch area, the despatch team and play an integral part in our client's development.

Performance Objectives

  • Action the despatch of all products, which includes packing, quality checks and completion of associated paperwork.
  • To achieve a high level of efficiency.
  • Liaise with transport companies/couriers both UK and International.
  • Ensure you maintain productivity, KPI's and efficiencies.
  • Monitor performance and report findings to Management team.
  • Plan and control the despatch process.
  • Complete/produce despatch notes, packing lists, delivery notes and any other associated paperwork.
  • Communicate despatch and delivery information to other departments.
  • Maintain all H&S procedures.
  • Manage the despatch team, including allocation of workload.
  • Work closely with the Production Manager.
  • Build relationships both internally and externally.
  • Provide support to the management team when required.

Person Specification

  • Management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Problem solving, forward thinking and proactive attitude.
  • Forklift Truck Licence.
  • Time management and prioritising workload to meet deadline.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment whilst maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to plan and organise own workload efficiently.
  • Ability to work as a team as well as individually.
  • Computer literate - Excel, Word, Outlook, use of Sage Line 50, SAP or other manufacturing system.
