Planning Manager

£51k per annum

Monday - Friday

Wrexham

Our client based in the Wrexham area is looking to recruit a Planning Manager on a full time, permanent basis. As Planning Manager, you will be responsible for all site based planning for production and raw materials, overseeing a team of experienced planners. Additionally, your role will be project driven and you will lead a number of CI initiatives within the supply chain function whilst working collaboratively will other key business functions.

Performance Objectives

  • Responsible to deliver short term production scheduling and materials resource planning, to successfully meet customer demand whilst managing operational and capacity constraints.
  • Oversee the long term S&OP capacity planning for the business unit to support the successful delivery of key strategic projects.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities to the existing planning processes to ensure cost efficient production planning and improved product flow throughout the operation.
  • Playing a lead part in NPI work streams to promote early engagement and successful delivery.
  • Optimise production planning and working closing alongside manufacturing teams to ensure machine efficiency and availability is maintained.
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for Planning to internal Stakeholders, Suppliers and customers.
  • Provide leadership and direction in Production Planning and Scheduling to support the site in meeting its objectives.
  • Lead, develop and motivate the Planning team whilst ensuring they delivery their KPI's and accountabilities.

Person Specification

  • Proven track record of overseeing a planning function and managing a team.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong CI mind-set and the ability to lead projects to drive change.
  • Excellent IT Skills and SAP experience.
  • Degree qualified or overseas equivalent is preferable.
  • FMCG background would be preferable.
