Gap construction are delighted to be assisting a bespoke family owned builder with almost a century of rich history, in their search for a bench joiner to be a part of their fantastic in house team. The successful candidate will join a warm and welcoming team based in Central Hertfordshire.

Performance Objectives

• CAD Interpretation: Read and understand 2D and 3D CAD drawings to fully grasp specifications and client requirements.
• Document Comprehension: Read and understand manufacturing documents such as cutting lists or factory orders.
• Assembly Communication: Receive detailed assembly instructions from the Assembly Team Leader, including critical details and manufacturing approaches.
• Issue Reporting: Report any issues identified during the assembly process to the Team Leader.
• Tool Usage: Use hand tools such as hand trimmers and manual tools like chisels.
• Material Knowledge: Work with various materials, including MFC, MFMDF, sprayed elements, veneered elements, and solid wood.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain quality standards throughout the assembly process.
• PPE Compliance: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Person Specification

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the woodwork industry.
• Tools: Must possess own joinery tools.
• Joinery Knowledge: Basic joinery assembly practices and timber material specification knowledge are essential.
• Factory Experience: Previous experience working in a factory environment is advantageous.
