Site Manager
Up to £65,000

gap construction are proud to be representing this Main Contractor at the cutting-edge of quality construction in their search for an experienced Site Manager to work across a range of exciting projects in Suffolk.

Performance Objectives
- Ensuring all health, safety and environmental procedures are always maintained
- To work with the team to make sure the projects are delivered by the company's deadline, in budget and to the highest standard.
- Responsible for the management of subcontractors, communicating with them daily to ensure work is being undertaken to plan and the relevant standards are being achieved.
- Monitor the use of utilities to ensure costs do not exceed the budget
- Regular communication with the MD and other managers to keep them updated on any progress, concerns and actions being taken.
- Ensure site records are maintained
- Oversee the safe delivery and execution of work on site
Person Specification
- The Site Manager will have a keen eye for detail and be able to anticipate and minimise any disruption to the project.
- Be well presented and distinguishable as the team leader and have the ability to act as our key customer interface.
- Have excellent construction technical skills and current training certification to back this up.
- Possess a strong commitment to the business and its personal approach to contracting.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients and supply-chain alike.
- Be highly self-motivated and have a positive can-do approach to drive the project to a successful completion.
- Be able to work in a team, reporting to a contracts manager and managing junior managers.
- Demonstrate good team management and leadership skills.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running and organisation of the site.
- Demonstrate ability to anticipate and solve problems as they present themselves on site.
