Junior/Intermediate CAD Technician
£25,000-£45,000
Stratford, Greater London
gap construction is currently seeking a Junior/Intermediate CAD Technician on behalf of our client, a well-established drylining contractor with 90 years of industry experience. Based in Stratford, London, this company has a rich history of delivering high-quality projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of assigned projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Person Specification:

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in CAD design, preferably within the construction or engineering sectors.
  • Education: A relevant qualification in CAD design, engineering, or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and other design software. Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot design issues as they arise.
  • Attitude: Enthusiastic and eager to learn, with a proactive approach to expanding your CAD expertise.

Performance Objectives:

  • Design Support: Assist in the creation of detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with senior designers and engineers to support the development of project designs from concept to completion.
  • Documentation: Maintain and organize project documentation, ensuring that all designs are stored correctly and are easily accessible for the team.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all CAD designs meet the company's quality standards and are completed within specified timelines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest CAD software and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to improve your work.
