Performance Objectives
- The Project Manager (PM) will have responsibility for undertaking design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover management of various new installations and modification to existing installations of M&E services
- Overall responsibility for all assigned project deliverables including but not limited to hardware, financial/commercial outputs, dispute management, customer satisfaction and on time delivery. Multiple complex and multidisciplined projects to be delivered from inception to completion.
- Management, supervision, liaison, and control of the project team to ensure compliance with the Company's policies and procedures, which include but are not limited to Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, Procurement, British Standards, CDM regulations and UK codes of practice.
- To plan, oversee and manage LV & HV testing and inspection across client portfolio.
- Develop effective working relationships with sub-contractors to ensure their outputs are managed in accordance with business needs and agreed KPIs / SLAs.
- Procurement of labour, plant, materials, and subcontractor services for project delivery.
- The provision of technical support to the main service contract and extra works projects including added value to the service delivery from industry innovation, engineering solutions and engineering alternatives.
- Provide tendering facilities for materials or extra works projects to suit client requirements, liaising with the appropriate internal departments and service providers.
- Ensure timely client and internal kick off meetings are arranged and that all relevant project handover documentation is completed and distributed to relevant personnel.
- Ensure completion of tasks within customer timeframes with no unplanned impact on end user programmes.
- Carry out regular site safety audits, report on observations, investigate anomalies, review risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments.
- Compliance with contract agreement, H&S, Sustainability and Security requirements including management of directly employed, specialist service providers, temporary and contract staff.
Person Specification
- Ability to think strategically, technically & commercially and to problem solve.
- Ability to manage small to medium sized projects up to £1M.
- Experience of managing and developing a small projects team.
- Experience of delivering multiple high performing critical service engineering projects.
- Knowledge & experience of building services and engineering contractual procedures.
Essential Experience
- The successful candidate will have a recognised qualification or suitable experience in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC or Building Services Engineering.
- Will be electrically qualified with JIB grade of approved electrician or shall have completed a formal electro technical apprenticeship, or accredited equivalent, or have a minimum of an HNC/HND in electrical engineering to enable them to be an electrically authorized person.
- Experience in managing turnkey projects including construction, HVAC, mechanical and electrical works.
- A proven track record of project delivery within the M&E installation sector up to £1m.
- IOSH Managing Safely or recognised H&S qualification, awareness of asbestos, legionella and fire safety regulations.
- Knowledge and experience of working in a Principal Contractor role and to current CDM regulations.
- Management of 5-year LV & HV T&I delivery.
Desired Experience
- Experienced in electrical installation work, plus electrical testing and inspection.
- Good working knowledge of building M&E and fabric activities within occupied environment.

An excellent opportunity for a distinguished Site manager to join a main contractor at the cutting-edge of quality construction. The initial project will have you overseeing a successful team working on outstanding retail fit out projects.
Due to the nature of the work it will involve working away from home from occasionally, working on exciting projects throughout East Anglia.
Ideal skills and qualifications also include:
- SMSTS Card
- Previous Experience is preferred
- First aid qualified
- Ambitious and hands-on approach to projects
- Longevity within previous positions
- Some experience within high-spec retail projects
- Trade background is advantageous but not essential
Your Duties will include:
- Ensuring all health, safety and environmental procedures are always maintained
- To work with the team to make sure the projects are delivered by the company's deadline, in budget and to the highest standard.
- Responsible for the management of subcontractors, communicating with them daily to ensure work is being undertaken to plan and the relevant standards are being achieved.
- Monitor the use of utilities to ensure costs do not exceed the budget
- Regular communication with the Contracts Manager to keep them updated on any progress, concerns and actions being taken.
- Ensure site records are maintained
- Oversee the safe delivery and execution of work on site

Performance Objectives
- Meeting with clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs, advising the client on alternate viability, feasibility studies and support the client in developing the brief and project programme based on needs and requirements.
