Senior Site Manager

An excellent opportunity for a distinguished Site Manager to join a housing developer at the cutting-edge of quality construction. The initial project will have you overseeing a small team on an outstanding development of desirable, sustainable homes with character in a distinct village just outside of Ipswich.

The Person
The Senior Site Manager will have a keen eye for detail and be able to anticipate and minimise any disruption to the development and will ideally be located within Suffolk county.
The ideal candidate will:
Specific skills
Time; Be able to control the progression of the works by organising trades in accordance with the programme. Be able to develop short term programmes, considering risk management issues.
Cost: Be able to understand and work within budgets. Control site costs through the careful review of supply-chain variation requests. Organise and control direct labour and sub-contractors in a timely and efficient manner.
Quality: Be able to understand and follow drawings and specifications for the works. Ensure that excellent quality and good craftsmanship is maintained.
Health & Safety: Have a good knowledge of current H&S law and practices. Demonstrate ability to work to the site Health and Safety Plan and manage all onsite H&S aspects.
