gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Multi Skilled Engineer to work at their facility based near Walsall

Performance Objectives

• Support all engineering software processes & systems to ensure that all data is reviewed, managed, acted upon & reported as required.
• Support the requisitioning, receipt, storage & issue of engineering parts and materials in accordance with company policy as appropriate.
• Ensure that plans are in place on a daily basis to ensure the effective operation of all works engineering parts, products & systems.
• Ensure that systems are in place to resolve any engineering product or system issues in a manner that will limit the impact on production, quality, environmental, health & safety, compliance & sustainability performance.
• Conduct ongoing evaluations of engineering products and systems to ensure that performance of all is optimised.
• Ensure continued engineering product & system capability through continued monitoring and testing schedules.
• Develop manufacturing processes by designing, & modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling & installing components.
• Ensure continued operation of all equipment through the co-ordination of maintenance & repair services, following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures, and requesting special services when appropriate.
• Inspect completed installations and maintenance repair work to ensure conformance with required operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with preventative maintenance routines for all site equipment.
• Communicate equipment issues and/or parts replacement requirements to site or group management as appropriate.
• Promote and support entire engineering function in the development of new electrical engineering parts, products, new tooling and new engineering processes. This includes liaison with other engineering functions and third party contractors.
• Prepare, develop & provide as appropriate, engineering reports by collecting, analysing and summarising information and trends.
• Support the operation and development of company computer system to ensure all data as appropriate is entered onto and followed through the system.
• Support site management in ensuring that site systems & procedures are operated across the site fully in accordance with company health & safety policy, quality, environmental, compliance & sustainability requirements.
• Work with site personnel as appropriate, to rectify engineering issues.
• Establish, maintain & contribute toward effective working relationships with engineering and third party specialist engineering contractors as appropriate.
• Support group management in the pursuit of business development and improvement programmes.
• To assist with activities beyond normal role as appropriate

Qualifications / Experience

• City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Engineering. Essential
• 17^th Edition (Minimum)
• HNC Engineering - Desirable
• 5 years or over engineering experience in a manufacturing environment after completion of apprenticeship
• Significant & demonstrated experience in complying with planned & preventative engineering strategies.
• Demonstrated diverse skills set encompassing electrical or mechanical skills/knowledge and at least one other core discipline
