Performance Objectives

  • Carry out electrical and mechanical planned maintenance tasks without supervision
  • Complete reactive /corrective actions returning equipment to standard output, quality and waste levels following fault diagnosis.
  • Sourcing parts and materials from suppliers and arranging parts through technical administration.
  • Implement mechanical installation works, electrical automation and small plc changes without supervision.
  • Conduct continuous machine observation and measurement, identifying potential failure or deterioration in output, waste or quality performance from standard.
  • Determine cause of potential failure or performance deterioration, and complete remedial work briefing Engineering Team on issue, cause and recommended solution
  • Use manuals and failure history to develop preventative tasks in line with TPM objectives.
  • Brief the Engineering Manager / Lead Technician, liaising with engineering planner of the task and its purpose. Train other engineers on how to perform new tasks.

Person Specification

  • Able to read electrical drawings.
  • Able to read Hydraulics / pneumatics circuits.
  • Read and produce mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to logically fault find, Knowledge of, PPS, 8D problem solving tools.
  • Worked with circuits from 415VAC to 24VDC power & control.
  • Experience of inverter, servo, DC drives.
  • Carried out PPM on both electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Worked with high-speed rotating packaging equipment.
  • TPM / 6S / Continuous Improvement / Lean experience.
  • SAP PM Experience, or other CMMS system.
