Assistant Quantity Surveyor
£30,000 - £40,000 + Package
Central London
gap constructions are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established contractor specialising in high-quality interior fit-out and refurbishment projects within the commercial sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to develop their career with one of the leading names in the interiors space.
Performance Objectives:
- You'll work closely with the commercial team to support the delivery of fit-out projects valued between £3m and £20m.
- This position offers excellent exposure to fast-paced, technically interesting schemes with the backing of a supportive and experienced team.
- Assist in preparing valuations, cost reports, and subcontractor packages
- Support with contract administration and change management
- Track and monitor project costs to ensure accurate forecasting
- Collaborate with site teams, clients, and subcontractors to support smooth commercial delivery
- Ensure adherence to commercial processes throughout the project lifecycle
Person Specification:
- HND or degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related field
- 1-3 years of experience in a commercial role (ideally within interiors or fit-out)
- Strong numerical, analytical, and IT skills
- Proactive communicator who enjoys working in a team
- Enthusiastic and eager to progress within a dynamic environment
