£55,500 - £57,000 Per Annum + Overtime & Excellent Benefits

4 on 4 off 2 days/2 nights

The Role

As an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving plant equipment within a heavy industrial / chemical processing environment.

Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights), you will ensure maximum plant uptime through reactive and planned maintenance activities.

Performance Objectives

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production and process equipment
  • Support mechanical maintenance where required
  • Work on motors, drives, inverters, control panels and instrumentation
  • Fault finding on PLC systems (Siemens / Allen Bradley desirable)
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and site regulations
  • Minimise downtime and improve reliability across the plant

Person Specification

  • Time-served Electrical Engineer (Apprenticeship or equivalent)
  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience within heavy industry, chemical, process, manufacturing or similar environment
  • Strong fault-finding ability on industrial electrical systems
  • PLC fault-finding experience (modifications advantageous)
  • 17th / 18th Edition desirable
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
