Job Title: TIG Welder - Stainless Steel Pipework
Location: Chester
Contract Type: Contract
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, Day Shifts
Rate: £30ph

GAP Technical is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced TIG Welder to support ongoing installation and fabrication work within a hygienic processing environment.

The Role
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder with proven experience working with stainless steel and dairy pipework. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality welding and fabrication work in line with strict hygiene and quality standards typical of food or dairy processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel pipework and components.

  • Work on dairy / hygienic pipe systems, ensuring high-quality sanitary welds.

  • Interpret engineering drawings and isometric pipework diagrams.

  • Prepare, fit, and assemble stainless steel pipework prior to welding.

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and weld integrity suitable for hygienic environments.

  • Carry out inspection of welds and ensure compliance with project specifications.

  • Follow all site health & safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a TIG Welder working with stainless steel.

  • Previous experience working on dairy, food, or hygienic process pipework.

  • Ability to produce high-quality sanitary welds.

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and pipework layouts.

  • Relevant welding qualifications or coding (preferred).

  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Contract Details

  • Contract role with immediate start available.

  • Monday-Friday day shifts.

  • Opportunity to work on a specialist industrial installation project.
