gap technical are currently supporting an FMCG client who require experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to provide short-term cover at their facility near Chester.

Scope of Support

Engineers will provide mechanical maintenance support across a high-speed, highly automated environment, ensuring equipment uptime and safe operation.

Typical Responsibilities

• Reactive breakdown support across FMCG production lines, food processing equipment, and automated warehouse systems
• Planned and preventative maintenance during production and non-production periods
• Identification and rectification of repeat faults
• Working safely within food hygiene, GMP, and permit-to-work systems

Engineer Profile

• Time-served Maintenance Engineer or equivalent industry experience
• Mechanical or Multi-Skilled background
• Previous experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, BRC Industry
• Confident working on automated machinery, conveyors, motors, drives, sensors, and safety circuits
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
