Maintenance Engineer
Burnley
Salary: £59,000 + Per Annum + Benefits
Gap technical are seeking a Multi-Skilled Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment where every day brings new challenges.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment, ensuring maximum reliability, efficiency, and minimal downtime. You'll play a vital part in keeping operations on track while supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Engineering Team Lead to deliver a high-quality engineering service
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of equipment
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and basic control & instrumentation faults
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational targets
About You
- Minimum Level 3 engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship
- Multi-skilled engineer (electrical bias preferred)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Confident in suggesting improvements and new ideas
Desirable:
- Ideally Experienced in FMCG or food manufacturing
- Experience with processing equipment such as pipework, pumps, silos, and conveying systems
