Project Manager (Intermediate)
£40,000-£49,000

gap construction are proud to be representing a well-established construction consultancy in Cambridge in their search for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a varied portfolio of projects throughout Cambridge and the surrounding area.

Performance Objectives

Leading the delivery of multiple projects across all RIBA stages, from inception through to completion

Managing project programmes, cost plans, risk registers, and contract administration

Acting as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships are maintained throughout

Coordinating design teams, consultants, contractors, and site personnel

Chairing client and site meetings, ensuring clear communication and accurate reporting

Monitoring progress on site, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

Managing project risks and resolving issues proactively to avoid delays

Mentoring and supporting junior team members where appropriate

Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements

Person Specification

Degree qualified in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline

Chartered status (MRICS) or working towards chartership is preferred

Proven experience delivering construction projects within a consultancy environment

Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage projects independently

Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

A proactive and professional approach with the confidence to lead client interactions

Candidates from a contractor background looking to transition into consultancy will also be considered
